Feedback from CareKit User
Last year a physician who used Joslin EZStart kit e-mailed us this comment:
"This kit has helped me provide even better care to my patients...keep up the great work!
- Dr. S.
The cardiometabolic syndrome is a highly prevalent (though under-recognized and undertreated) condition significantly contributing to the development and progression of the number one cause of death in the U.S.—atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease. While the construct is undergoing some discussion regarding its true definition, the cardiometabolic syndrome is widely seen as an indicator for early and aggressive intervention. This condition involves the concurrence of type 2 diabetes (or borderline hyperglycemia), abdominal obesity, atherogenic lipoprotein phenotype, a pro-coagulant state, and/or hypertension constituting a system of linked pathogenesis and high atherogenicity.
The Joslin Cardiometabolic Forum were symposia consisting of didactic lectures and case discussions presented on a weekend morning in five metropolitan areas across the U.S. Register here to participate in a CME-certified Internet enduring material developed from these symposia.
